PYROGRAPHY:
The free handed art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object
In my pyrography art, I work to capture the beauty of the natural world. Each piece begins with hand-burning using a razor tip pyrography tool, carefully crafting various marks and shadings on diverse wood surfaces and occasionally on leather. I then enhance these creations with acrylic or watercolor paints, and occasionally with gilding, to bring a vibrant and distinct quality to each artwork.
